Business operations workshop
The first, important step is for us to fully understand your business, objectives and day-to-day operations. This ideally takes place over a number of days spent immersing ourselves in your business
First phase
Information gathering
By the end of the audit, we should know:
-
The key stakeholders within the business from an operational perspective
-
The company history and future objectives
-
Company performance
-
Current operational tools such as PM software
-
Business-critical spreadsheets
-
Capacity and tracking tools
-
Forecasting and profitability KPIs
-
The level of reliance on senior management to deliver work
-
General pain-points and obstacles to growth.
Second phase
Recommendations
This is when the hard work really starts! We will put together a bespoke plan of action to address issues that we have identified and steps to gradually implement change. Depending on our findings, this could range from a few tweaks or changes that are much more involved. Generally, these could include:
-
Improved use of tools, ideally with the current stack but potentially moving to more suitable options
-
Consistent use of tooling across teams
-
Automation where possible to reduce unbillable workloads
-
Effective capacity management and time-tracking
-
Profitability measurement tools
-
Streamlined spreadsheets
Once the audit is completed, delivered and agreed upon with the key stakeholders in the team, we can look at implementing the improvements.
